CASPER, Wyo.—The Wyoming Highway Patrol says a high-speed car chase in Casper has resulted in the arrest of a man suspected of kidnapping a Colorado woman and two children.

The patrol says the kidnap victims, including children aged 3 weeks and 8, are safe.

The chase began after 3 p.m. Friday when a motorist on Interstate 25 reported a vehicle matching the description in a nationwide bulletin out of El Paso County in Colorado. Police say the bulletin named 27-year-old Al Johnson, of Colorado Springs, as a kidnap suspect.

The patrol says the chase began just outside Casper and ended after about nine miles later when the vehicle rear-ended another vehicle. No one was seriously hurt in the wreck.
