GYPSUM, Colo.—Eagle County sheriff’s officials say a Gypsum man has life-threatening head injuries after a fight involving more than 20 people.

Authorities say male and female juveniles and adults were involved in the fight around 2:20 a.m. Saturday in Gypsum. It’s not clear what started it.

Sheriff’s officials say a 23-year-old Gypsum man has life-threatening head injuries, and a 21-year old Gypsum man was treated at a hospital for facial fractures and was released.

Some witnesses say baseball bats were used, and investigators believe alcohol use may have contributed to the fight.

Sheriff’s officials said there was no new information Sunday.
