After the end of her one-year relationship with Mel Gibson, Russian musician Oksana Grigorieva is hinting at something mysterious behind the split.

“I can tell you that we have split up, suddenly and recently,” Grigorieva said Monday during a press conference in Moscow. “Unfortunately, I cannot give you the reason. But you will find out everything quite soon.”

Grigorieva’s cryptic statement added to the mystery of why things ended with Gibson, who is the father of her 5-month-old daughter, Lucia.

She added, “Here is the official version: We split up by mutual consent and we will raise our daughter together. She is currently with my mother in my Los Angeles home.”

The new mom said she will be removing a tattoo that presumably holds a sentimental meaning, the New York Daily News reports. Gibson had reportedly suggested for her to get her ankle inked with a hammer and sickle — the symbol of communism.

“No one dumped anyone,” a source told UsMagazine. “It’s all very friendly.”

Gibson, 54, also has seven children with his estranged wife, Robyn, who filed for divorce last April. Grigorieva, 39, has a son named Alexander with her ex-boyfriend, former Bond actor Timothy Dalton.

Just four days before Valerie Bertinelli turns 50, she achieved another personal goal: finishing the Boston Marathon.

“I am so high right now, more high than if I’d had a bottle of champagne!” Bertinelli told People on Monday, after completing the 26.2-mile race, her first marathon, in 5:14:37. “I feel euphoric!” Under partly sunny skies and with her longtime boyfriend and workout buddy Tom Vitale cheering her on, the actress cranked up Pink and Leona Lewis’s “Happy” on her iPod and hit the Boston streets with the throngs of other runners.

MGM is leaving Bond guy Daniel Craig cooling his heels.

The next Bond movie has been put on hold indefinitely by MGM. The as yet untitled movie, which will be the 23rd in the series about the British spy, had been due for release in 2011 or 2012, according to Reuters.

James Bond is MGM’s most lucrative franchise and the next installment would be British actor Craig’s third time in the role.

But producers Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, said in a joint statement, “Due to the continuing uncertainty surrounding the future of MGM and the failure to close a sale of the studio, we have suspended development on BOND 23 indefinitely.”

The two producers said they do not know when development of the film will resume and when it will be released in theaters.

MGM last year began exploring a potential sale last year.

The 22 James Bond movies have sold $1.6 billion in box office tickets in the U.S. and Canada, putting the series at No. 3 on the list of most successful film franchises, according to tracking firm Box Office Mojo.

The last film in the series, 2008’s “Quantum of Solace,” racked up a global box office of $586 million, and before that the 2006 movie “Casino Royale” made $594 million and introduced Craig as the new Bond.

Sam Mendes, a director best known for making psychological dramas such as “American Beauty” and “Revolutionary Road,” was expected to direct the next James Bond movie.

Kumar was robbed yesterday morning in Washington, D.C.

Actor Kal Penn, also known as Kumar in “Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle” was held up at gunpoint early yesterday while walking in a neighborhood of D.C., TMZ reports. Last year, Penn, whose real name is Kalpen Suresh Modiit, joined the Obama White House as associate director in the White House office of public engagement.

Law enforcement sources said Penn told them that a man wielding a gun approached him around 1:20 a.m. and took his wallet and other personal property.

No suspects were found.

Chris Brown will headline and host a benefit concert in Virginia next month.

“Virginia Stand Up! A Call to Action” will be held May 15 at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. Performers will include Trey Songz, Keri Hilson, T-Pain, Mario and Ryan Leslie.

The 20-year-old R&B singer said in a statement Monday he wanted to personally contribute to the Haitian relief effort and support an organization that helps people in his home state. Proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross and the Central Virginia Foodbank.

Brown was sentenced last year to five years’ probation and six months of community labor after pleading guilty to felony assault.

He was charged in an attack on his then-girlfriend Rihanna hours before the 2009 Grammys.
