DENVER—A powerful spring storm that dropped snow, sleet and rain across much of Colorado spawned tornadoes and snarled traffic, though there was no immediate word on injuries.
The storm that drove across Colorado Friday created more than a half-dozen tornado sightings across the eastern plains. The National Weather Service issued at least on tornado warning. There were no reports of damage or injury.
Rescuers were looking for two campers stranded north of Woodland Park Friday. El Paso County authorities said the pair was safe but stranded in a vehicle as 2 feet of snow left a road to their campsite impassable.
