DENVER—The 2010 Earthworks Expo on sustainable living has been canceled.
Director Michael Lindemann says the green businesses that support the Denver expo are victims of the recession.
He said Friday that the number of exhibitors for the show, originally scheduled May 22-23, was down about 40 percent from the 140 exhibitors at the expo last year, and cash sponsorships were down 60 percent.
Lindemann started the annual expo in 2007. He says it’s too early to say if there will be one next year but that expo organizers are still committed to promoting green businesses and earth-friendly living.
