HOUSTON—The Houston Texans have selected offensive guard Shelley Smith in the sixth round of the NFL draft.
Smith was chosen with the 187th overall pick out of Colorado State. The 6-foot-3, 300-pound Smith started eight games last season after recovering from an early season ankle injury.
He started 31 games in his four-year college career.
