Things were smokin’ hot at EXDO Event Center when a celebrity panel of judges scored the 37 hopefuls hoping to land a spot on the 2011 Colorado Firefighter Calendar. And even a spring storm couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm when several hundred civic leaders, dressed in hard hats and sensible shoes, gathered at the historic McNichols Building, which is being restored to its original glory for the July 1 opening of Denver’s first Biennial of the Americas.
