CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The daughter of one of 29 men killed April 5 in a coal mine explosion says Massey Energy is offering each family a $3 million settlement.
Michelle McKinney, daughter of Benny Ray Willingham, said Thursday that the offer came a week ago. She said other families have received the same offer.
Massey didn’t respond to calls seeking comment. McKinney said her family isn’t interested and she’d prefer to take every cent chief executive Don Blankenship has. The Associated Press
