GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—Police say two brothers are accused of causing a disturbance at the Grand Junction Regional Airport after they were denied access to the tarmac where their single-engine airplane was parked.

Grand Junction Police spokeswoman Kate Porras says airport staff called 911 after seeing the twin brothers arguing with employees Thursday afternoon. Porras says 23-year-old Roger Kemp sneaked onto the tarmac and got inside the 1959 Piper while his brother, Emil, spoke with arriving police.

Police say airport staff used a truck to block Roger Kemp from takeoff, and an officer used a knife to puncture a tire of the plane.

Roger Kemp faces misdemeanor trespassing charge, and Emil Kemp was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
