BOULDER — The Commerce City man who smashed his single-engine plane into a Boulder couple’s Toyota Prius on Wednesday ran from the scene because he wanted to get his two dogs out of his car, which was parked at the airport, the Prius’ driver told the Daily Camera on Thursday.
Ken Marcoux of Gunbarrel told the Camera that Joe Curtis, 67, called him Wednesday evening and told him if he had waited to talk to investigators at the crash scene, several more hours would have passed before he would have been able to break away to get his dogs.
