A driver accused of causing a chain of traffic collisions Tuesday on East Colfax Avenue was identified Wednesday, and he faces multiple charges, including drinking and driving.
Jerrad Lowell Leonard, 27, of Commerce City drove a sport utility vehicle at speeds up to 80 mph along a 10-block stretch of Colfax about 7:15 p.m., hitting multiple vehicles and injuring at least six people, including himself, Denver police said.
According to Colorado Bureau of Investigation and state court records, Leonard has a lengthy history of driving violations dating to 2000.
