Denver police arrested a man Friday for investigation of murder in the death of his elderly mother.
Officers responded to the home at 1625 Tamarac St. just before 9 a.m. after a report of an assault.
When police arrived, they found the body of an elderly woman with a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
After an investigation and search of the home by homicide detectives, officers arrested the victim’s son, Michael Ciacio, 47.
