Commerce City police said today that three men “believed to be involved in the arson” which killed 12 horses, several chickens and a goat at a Commerce City corral were questioned by detectives on Tuesday.
All three live in Denver and are 38, 42 and 53 years of age, according to a statement from Lt. Dennis Moon, spokesman for the Commerce City Police Department.
After interviewing the men, the trio were released pending further investigation, said Moon.
Moon said no additional information about the men, including their names and photographs, will be released at this time.
The fire occurred about 3:15 p.m. Sunday at the stable located in the 8400 block of Unita Street.
During the fire, people rushed to the stables and were able to save some horses and goats.
The South Adams Fire Department was called to the fire and found the stables fully engulfed in flames.
