Snow and rain is expected today in Colorado and temperatures will not rise above 58 degrees in Denver, forecasters projected.
“I don’t foresee a whole lot of rain today,” said Frank Benton, meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Boulder.
Light rain was expected to fall through the day and evening with anywhere from a tenth- to a quarter-inch expected in the Denver area.
Temperatures were expected to be between 52 and 58 degrees today. They will rise to the 60s by tomorrow and the 70s by Monday before another cold front moves in and drops temperatures back down to the upper 50s by Wednesday.
The central and northern mountains could get a rain-snow mix with up to 3 inches of snow falling today, Benton said.
Early risers were greeted by patchy fog in the Denver metro area this morning and can expect the same Sunday morning, he said.
