BRISBANE, Australia—The president of the World Anti-Doping Agency says if Floyd Landis has proof of doping by seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong, he should provide it to the relevant authorities.
John Fahey, in an interview with The Associated Press, says if there is any substance to the allegations, either the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency or International Cycling Union should act.
Fahey says “there will always be rumors” about Armstrong.
His comments came after Landis, in a series of e-mails sent to sponsors and sports officials, confessed to years of doping. Landis, who was stripped of the 2006 Tour de France title for doping, alleged Armstrong not only joined him in doping but taught others how to beat the system.
Armstrong has denied it.
