BROOMFIELD, Colo.—Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper has accepted the Democratic Party’s nomination for governor.
Wearing a jacket with zebra lapels, Denver’s quirky mayor promised to be a politician of a different stripe.
He also promised to run a positive campaign, saying Coloradans cannot afford to fight each other.
Hickenlooper has no opposition and he was selected by acclamation.
