FORT COLLINS, Colo.—State officials are investigating whether the former owner of the shuttered Iron Mountain Autoplex dealership in Windsor is selling cars in Golden without a proper license.
The Colorado Department of Revenue confirms it is investigating a complaint regarding John Chamberlain, now general manager of Christopher’s Dodge World in Golden. Chamberlain and dealership owner Christopher Hall didn’t return phone messages from the Coloradoan.
The Colorado Motor Vehicle Dealer Board voted May 13 to deny Chamberlain’s recent application for a sales license.
Last July, the license for Iron Mountain was suspended over liens that, at the time, hadn’t been paid on 31 trade-in vehicles. Chamberlain surrendered that dealership to Chrysler.
