Nearly a dozen barbecue vendors, both local and national, many more microbreweries, kids activities and cooking demonstrations take over Beaver Creek Village this weekend for the resort town’s annual “Blues, Brews and BBQ” festival. The smoky smell of ‘cue may be the main attraction but the main stage should be just as hot, with daily sets by Big Daddy Lee and the King Bees, the Delta Sonics and Alto Reed’s Blues Entourage. Today-Monday.. The 23rd Annual Boulder Creek Festival includes 10 separate event areas with 500 vendors and five performance stages. The festival also features carnival rides, food and beverage vendors, a beer garden, and its signature event — the Great Rubber Duck Race on Monday at 4 p.m. The location is downtown Boulder along Boulder Creek, between Ninth and 14th streets, and Canyon Boulevard and Arapahoe Avenue.
