A man who worked at the Park Meadows Mall is suspected of sexually assaulting two children and investigators are concerned that there may be additional victims.
Joseph Rios, 22, of Lakewood, is suspected of assaulting two victims, both under the age of 15, according to a media release from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
Rios worked at a shop that sells sunglasses at Park Meadows and police believe that’s how he met the alleged victims.
The sheriff’s office began its investigation on May 21 and Rios was arrested the following day at his home.
Rios posted $50,000 bail on Wednesday, the sheriff’s office said.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with additional information on the alleged crimes or the suspect is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 303-814-7029.
