Once again, Mayor John Hickenlooper and the Denver Office of Cultural Affairs are asking the public to pick the annual One Book, One Denver selection. The choices are “The Help” by Kathryn Stockett, “Fine Just the Way It Is” by Annie Proulx and “The Story of Edgar Sawtelle” by David Wroblewski. Voting ends June 15 at . The website offers a summary of each book, one or two paragraphs from each, information about the authors and reviews. The winner will be announced Sept. 1.
One Book, One Denver is billed as a citywide book club that encourages Denver residents to “join others in the shared experience of simultaneously reading the same book and participating in related events.”
