COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Colorado Springs Police say it may not be until next week they reveal more details about the fatal shooting of a male suspect.
The man was killed Friday after a foot chase with police that started in a shopping center and ended in an apartment complex on the city’s east side. Authorities have said very little about what led to the shooting, though, including why police were chasing the man.
Neither the victim nor the officer who killed him has been identified. The officer wasn’t hurt.
A neighbor tells The Gazette that the victim pounded on his front door before collapsing and that two bullets went through the wall of his apartment.
