DENVER—The University of Colorado regents have met behind closed doors to discuss the school’s athletic membership in the Big 12 conference, but don’t plan any anouncements about a possible switch.

University spokesman Ken McConnellogue said the regents discussed the conference in a closed session Tuesday evening, but declined to elaborate. After the meeting, he said there was no offer on the table for CU-Boulder to move to the Pac-10 and no announcement planned by the school.

There’s been speculation of a shakeup of the Big 12 conference, with Nebraska and Missouri possibly going to the Big Ten and Colorado to the Pac-10.

University athletic director Mike Bohn and Phil DiStefano, chancellor in Boulder, declined to comment as they left the meeting.
