HAGERSTOWN, Md. — Disgraced Washington lobbyist Jack Abramoff has been released from prison to a halfway house in the mid-Atlantic region, the Federal Bureau of Prisons said Wednesday.
Abramoff’s scheduled release date is Dec. 4. As part of his plea deal for fraud, corruption and conspiracy, Abramoff cooperated in a long-running Justice Department investigation that led to the convictions of former Rep. Bob Ney, R-Ohio, and former Deputy Interior Secretary Steven Griles.
