CENTENNIAL, Colo.—The third and final person to be tried in the slaying of a murder witness and his fiancee has been convicted of conspiracy to commit murder.
Parish Ramon Carter was also convicted Thursday of witness intimidation and distribution of a controlled substance. He could receive up to 92 years in prison when sentenced Aug. 26.
Carter was charged with first-degree murder in the June 2005 shooting deaths of Javad Marshall-Fields and Vivian Wolfe.
Prosecutors say Marshall-Fields was gunned down to stop him from testifying against Carter’s stepbrother, Robert Ray, who was accused in a 2004 killing.
Robert Ray and Sir Mario Owens have been convicted and sentenced to death.
