Police have arrested a suspect in an eight-year-old stabbing death.
Dean Evan Scott, 28, has been arrested as a suspect in the stabbing death of 28-year-old Willie Robinson.
Robinson’s body, which suffered multiple stab wounds to the chest, was found on May 6, 2002, in an alley on the 1600 block between Boston and Beller streets, according to a media release from the Aurora Police Department.
Late last year investigators developed new leads in the cold case and were able to identify a suspect this spring, Aurora police said.
Scott, who was being held at the Arapahoe County Jail in another case, was arrested Tuesday as a first-degree murder suspect, police said.
Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Det. Tom Wilson at 303 739-6711.
