COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A Colorado Springs animal shelter has run out of room for cats and is offering free felines to dads for Father’s Day.

Officials at the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region said they’re over capacity with 270 cats at the shelter, with an additional 100 in foster care. President Jan McHugh-Smith said they have turned away additional felines, telling people who insist on leaving cats at the shelter that the animals will be immediately euthanized.

In addition to free cats, the shelter is offering two-for-one pricing throughout the weekend. In Denver, the Denver Dumb Friends League offers cats for half-price and free adoption for cats over 6 years old.
