Dexter Fowler hit for the cycle Sunday in Colorado Springs, leading the Triple-A Sky Sox to a 13-4 rout of the Las Vegas 51s in a Pacific Coast League game.

Fowler, an outfielder who started the season with the Rockies, hit a solo homer in the first inning and finished 5-for-6, lifting his batting average with the Sky Sox to .373 in 20 games. He scored five runs, drove in three and become the fifth player in Sky Sox history to hit for the cycle.

After his leadoff homer in the first inning, Fowler tripled in the second and doubled in the fourth. He added singles in the fifth and seventh.

The Sky Sox (33-37) finished with 17 hits, including three from first baseman Mike Paulk.

Eagles re-sign league MVP Ulanski.

The Colorado Eagles of the Central Hockey League have re-signed former University of Denver player Kevin Ulanski.

Ulanski, the CHL’s reigning most valuable player, is the first returnee signed by the Eagles this offseason. He won the CHL scoring championship last season with 109 points, and he was the first player in franchise history to reach 100 points in a season.
