• Smith was 38th, his lowest finish in nearly two months. It was the first time in three weeks he didn’t land in the top 25 and the first time since April 25 he finished outside the top 30.
• The finish gives him 1,368 total points this season and places him 30th, one down from last week’s position in the standings. He sits 966 points behind series leader Kevin Harvick.
