Seven Coloradans are among the 56 U.S. space leaders who are urging Congress to support full funding of the administration’s proposed commercial crew program to the international space station and of NASA’s human-space-exploration projects.

In a letter dated Tuesday, the authors emphasize that the two approaches are critical to the long-term health of the nation’s space program and generate “thousands of high-tech U.S. jobs for people in multiple states,” including Colorado.

Local signers include Dan Baker, Heather Bulk, Michael Joyce, Mark Sirangelo, Frederick Slane, Alan Stern and retired Col. Jim Voss.
