Police say a man in Fort Collins drove by a basketball court and fired several shots at three people who were playing hoops.
Charlie Santillan, 19, of Fort Collins was taken into custody at about 5 a.m. today, according to the Fort Collins Police Department.
Santillan is the suspect in a drive-by shooting that happened around 8 p.m. at 1550 Blue Spruce Drive.
No one was hit by the gunfire.
Santillan will be charged with two charges of attempted murder, according to a police release. Police believe the shooting is gang related, and the result of an ongoing issue between Santillan and one of the three men.
Police and SWAT members took Santillan into custody during a traffic stop at Cherry Street and North College Avenue.
He was being interviewed by police this morning about the shots fired at the basketball players.
The case remains under investigation.
