GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—A Wyoming woman has died in a motorcycle crash in Colorado.
Sixty-year-old Maureen “Mimi” Tanner of Casper crashed while riding her Harley-Davidson motorcycle with 10 other women riders from Grand Junction to Rangely on Saturday.
The Colorado State Patrol said it appears she didn’t take a left-hand curve tightly enough.
Her motorcycle hit a guardrail along Colorado Highway 139 and she was thrown about 150 feet down an embankment.
The group had spent the day shopping in Grand Junction and was headed to a barbecue in Rangely when the crash occurred.
