Denver City Councilwoman Marcia Johnson, who represents southeast Denver in District Five, announced Monday that she will not run for re-election.
In her newsletter, Johnson said she plans to serve out her term, which ends in July 2011.
She said that by the time the next swearing-in takes place, she will be 70. She said she is eager to spend time with family and friends and wants to do some traveling.
