Low-cost and regional airlines reported operating profits in the first quarter of 2010 while the major-airlines group posted its second straight quarterly loss, according to figures released Monday by the federal Bureau of Transportation Statistics.
The airlines also reported collecting $769 million in bag fees and $554 million from reservation-change fees.
