GULF SHORES, Ala. — Tourism on the Alabama coast took another hit with the postponement of a free Jimmy Buffett concert.
Business on the coast already was off by about half from the oil spill. Promoters hoped the show set for Thursday on the beach at Gulf Shores would boost visitors for the Fourth of July weekend. But it was delayed it until July 11 because of the threat of high surf from Hurricane Alex.
