Like so many Maynard James Keenan projects (see: ), A Perfect Circle likes to take its time. Consider that it’s been six years since the band toured, and nearly 13 years since its last album.
But now, that time is apparently up. On Monday morning, the band announced a 2017 tour, including a stop in Broomfield’s FirstBank Center on April 17. Tickets to the show go on sale Jan. 13 at 10 a.m. via . See the full list of tour dates below (via ).
Keenan’s Tool last year on Oct. 26. The Know writer Steve Schultz said:
After a short opening set from 3Teeth, an industrial band from Los Angeles, Tool took to the stage shortly after 9 p.m. and played a nearly two-hour set. The band kicked off with the psychedelic “Third Eye,” a song that closed one of their earlier (and most celebrated) albums, a 15-minute song that would normally serve as an epic encore.
Those hoping to hear new Tool music last night had to settle for a few short instrumental jams sprinkled throughout the set. Fans in the upper levels who were hoping to catch a glimpse of the elusive bandleader were out of luck, as Keenan — in typical fashion — hid in the shadows to the right of drummer Danny Carey the entire night.
