Getting your player ready...

Roger Clemens still has shutout stuff. Only this time, he was trying to let the guys take him deep — especially his son Koby. Koby was among six batters who took 0-fers against the Rocket in the Texas League Home Run Derby in Midland on Wednesday. Clemens kept his heater in the lukewarm range of 60 to 65 mph. Batters were allowed six nonhomer whacks. Koby’s first swing was his best. It was deep enough but twisted foul. Koby is a 23-year-old first baseman for the Corpus Christi Hooks. He ranks second in the Texas League in homers and RBIs this season. The Associated Press; Associated Press photo
