WASHINGTON — Democrats are considering four cities to host the convention that is likely to nominate President Barack Obama for a second term in 2012. Cleveland, Minneapolis, Charlotte, N.C., and St. Louis are the cities being considered.

Tim Kaine, the chairman of the Democratic National Committee, announced the finalists in a message to supporters Wednesday.
