LOS ANGELES — “Ferris Bueller” actor Jeffrey Jones was charged Wednesday with failing to update his sex-offender registration status, authorities said.
Jones, 63, failed to update his information with California officials after his birthday last September, Los Angeles county district attorney spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons said.
Jail records show he was arrested by Los Angeles police June 23 and released after posting $20,000 bail.
Jones is probably best known for playing the malevolent principal in “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.” He pleaded no contest in 2003 in Los Angeles to a felony charge of employing a 14-year- old boy to pose for sexually explicit photos. The Associated Press
