The newest member of Frontier Airlines’ zoo is . . . Buddy the Badger.
Between May 28 and Sunday, more than 15,000 Wisconsin residents voted online and at Milwaukee’s Summerfest to name the “spokesanimal” that graces the tail of Frontier’s newest 99-seat Embraer 190 aircraft.
Other Frontier tail animals include Larry the Lynx, Flip the Dolphin and Grizwald the Bear.
The badger was chosen to join the iconic ad animals since Frontier parent Republic Airways acquired Milwaukee-based Midwest Airlines last year and the badger is Wisconsin’s state animal. The Midwest brand is being eliminated in favor of Frontier. The Denver Post
