DENVER—Heavy rains are again sweeping through the Denver area, with more than 2 inches of rain falling northeast of Denver.
The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning Tuesday for Denver, western Adams County and west-central Arapahoe County and a flash-flood warning for parts of the eastern plains. A thunderstorm warning was also issued for southeastern Colorado.
Rain delayed the start of the Colorado Rockies-St. Louis Cardinals game by a half hour.
Stormy weather canceled some fireworks displays in the Denver area Sunday and hail pummeled parts of the metro area and Colorado’s eastern plains. Some of those areas could get more rain and hail Wednesday evening as temperatures keep dropping.
