BRISTOL, Conn. — Jeremy Green, the son of former NFL coach Dennis Green, no longer has a job as an NFL analyst at ESPN after being arrested this week on a child pornography charge in Connecticut.

Bristol police say Green, 38, was picked up Thursday around 5 p.m. in a Southington hotel and charged with possession of child pornography, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He is being held on a $750,000 bond. Police are not releasing details and say the warrant is sealed.

ESPN spokesman Mike Soltys says Green had worked since 2005 as a contributor to but was not employed there as of Friday. He declined further comment.

Chambers runs meet record

BARCELONA, Spain — Britain’s Dwain Chambers ran a meet record of 10.14 seconds in the 100 meters in Barcelona, ahead of Dexter Lee of Jamaica and Michael Rodgers of the United States.

Running into a headwind of 0.9 meters per second, Chambers broke the previous Ciutat de Barcelona meet record of 10.15.

Chaunte Howard-Lowe of the U.S. won the women’s high jump with a leap of 2.00 meters, beating world champion Blanka Vlasic of Croatia.

Detroit Lions president Tom Lewand pleaded guilty to driving while impaired. He was sentenced to six months of probation with $870 in fines and costs.

• Former Carolina guard Keydrick Vincent signed a two-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. To make room on the roster, the team released guard Sergio Render.

• The San Jose Sharks signed Chicago Blackhawks restricted free- agent defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson to a four-year, $14 million offer sheet. The Blackhawks have seven days to match the offer.

• Olympian Kate Ziegler won the 800-meter freestyle in 8 minutes, 25.89 seconds, her second meet record, at the Los Angeles Grand Prix. Natalie Coughlin was beaten in the 100 freestyle by Kara Lynn Joyce, who touched in 54.69 seconds, 0.15 ahead of the 11-time Olympic medalist.

• Tennessee coach Derek Dooley dismissed rising sophomore Darren Myles Jr. and indefinitely suspended sophomores Greg King and Marlon Walls after a brawl at a Knoxville bar where at least a half-dozen other Volunteers players were present.

• Iowa defensive end Broderick Binns was arrested early Friday and charged with drunken driving near the campus.

• Offensive lineman Seantrel Henderson is on his way to Miami. A person with knowledge of the decision tells The Associated Press that the highly touted offensive lineman plans to enroll in early August.

• The United States routed Australia 105-70 to advance to the semifinals of the FIBA under-17 world basketball championship in Hamburg, Germany. The Americans are 6-0 and will face Canada today. Canada defeated China 102-96.

• Jockey Eibar Coa, 39, reached a career milestone, riding his 4,000th winner. Coa won aboard Maddy’s Crowd in the ninth race at Monmouth Park in New Jersey.
