One man was killed and two others injured after gunshots broke out in Aurora early this morning, according to Aurora police.
Police have not identified the victims, who were found after callers reported a dispute and shooting involving three men in the 3700 block of North Wheeling Street shortly after 1 a.m.
Emergency workers took all three to area hospitals where one man was pronounced dead.
A dispute occurred prior to the shooting, police said. Detectives are investigating to determine how many were involved and what led to the gunfire.
Major Crimes Unit detectives and personnel from the Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded to take charge of the investigation.
Detectives are not releasing suspect information at this early stage of the investigation.
The deceased victim’s identity is not known.
