WELDON TOWNSHIP, Mich.—Lisa Strom has overcome a three-shot deficit to win the Michigan Women’s Open Championship by one stroke.

The 33-year-old from Huntersville, N.C., shot a one-under-par 71 Wednesday to finish with a two-under 214 for three rounds.

Strom beat first- and second-round leader Suzy Green-Roebuck of Ann Arbor, who was three-over on the final day and finished one stroke back at one-under 215.

Sue Ertl of Bradenton, Fla., and Elaine Crosby of Jackson finished at an even-par 216, while Julie Tomlinson of Noblesville, Ind., and Ashley Tait of Littleton, Colo., were tied at one-over 217.

The three-day competition was held at Crystal Mountain Resort in Benzie County’s Weldon Township, about 25 miles southwest of Traverse City.
