A 69-year-old California man was killed near Gypsum this morning after losing control of his Honda CRV sport-utility vehicle on Interstate 70.
Stanley J. Strychez of West Hills, Calif., was driving west when he hit a guard rail, crossed the median and the eastbound lanes before rolling down a 70-foot cliff, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
His wife, Marianne Strychez, 64, was taken to Vail Valley Medical Center with minor injuries, troopers said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
