Emergency workers are unloading diesel fuel from a tanker truck that rolled over near a Greenwood Village amphitheater where a festival is scheduled this afternoon.
The truck, which was headed to the Comfort Dental Amphitheater rolled over at about 7:15 a.m. while making a U-turn at Greenwood Plaza Boulevard and Caley Avenue.
The Mayhem Festival is scheduled to begin at the amphitheater at 2:15 p.m. Firefighters are asking people to avoid Orchard Road and take either Belleview Avenue or Arapahoe Road to reach the festival, said South Metro Fire Rescue spokeswoman Becky O’Guin. Hazmat workers have already cleaned up fuel that spilled, she said.
