Aurora police are looking for Vicente Solorzano in connection with a shooting that left two people wounded in the vicinity of 22nd Avenue and Oswego Street last night.

Aurora police spokesman Bob Friel said the shooting is considered to be a “gang-motivated incident.”

Friel said that at 10:23 p.m., residents of the area called police with reports of shots being fired.

Responding officers initially found one injured man and then a second victim nearby, said Friel.

Both men were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Friel said that during the follow-up investigation, police discovered that several dozen people had gathered in the area of 22nd Avenue and Oswego Street.

Witnesses told investigators that some of the people got into an argument which led to a fight and the shooting.

Investigators believe Solorzano fired a gun several times, hitting the two individuals.

Friel said Solorzano, 20, is a resident of Aurora.

He is 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs about 180 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair. He is considered armed and dangerous.

People with information about the shooting should contact Gang Intervention Unit Detective Matt Ingui at 303-739-1990.
