A woman killed near Bear Creek Trail in Sheridan was identified today as 51-year-old Renee Liana Freel.
Arapahoe County coroner Michael Dobersen said Freel’s death is classified as a homicide. However, the exact cause of death is being withheld because of the on-going investigation by the Sheridan Police Department.
Sheridan police have said they believed the victim was a transient. She was found Saturday in the 2600 block of West Hampden Avenue.Howard Pankratz: 303-954-1939 or hpankratz@denverpost.com.
