Two roads near Nederland were washed out by heavy downpours Wednesday afternoon, the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office reported.
County Road 126, 4 miles northwest of Nederland toward Caribou, was washed out, as was County Road 130 to Eldora. Some areas had accumulations of hail of up to 8 inches, which required snowplows to clear.
National Weather Service radar estimated that 3 to 4 inches of rain fell in about two hours.
