Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Colorado opened its first retail store inside Southwest Plaza in Jefferson County, allowing consumers the opportunity to buy policies, receive answers to questions about coverage and get health screenings.

The Denver Office of Economic Development announced that the Denver Workforce Center at Stapleton Plaza will move to Montbello. The relocated center will open at 4685 Peoria St. on Oct. 4.

Gevo, a privately held renewable-chemicals and advanced biofuels company based in Douglas County, announced that it has successfully produced isobutanol from fermentable sugars derived from cellulosic bio mass. The company also successfully converted the cellulosic isobutanol into isobutylene and paraffinic kerosene (jet fuel).
