COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Focus on the Family says some of its employees are being laid off, but the numbers haven’t been released.
Gary Schneeberger, a spokesman for the conservative Christian ministry, says the employees were notified Friday.
Schneeberger says the organization will have more to say later.
The Colorado Springs-based ministry has reduced its work force from 1,400 to 860 since 2002.
The most recent previous cutbacks were in 2009, when the group laid off 75 employees and left 57 other, vacant positions empty.
